Why I do What I Do?

My Vision:

I believe in the power of early years care and education to shape lives, support families, and lay the foundations for a kinder, more resilient society.

As both an educator and a parent, I understand the depth of care, skill, and emotional labour that goes into those earliest years — and I’m passionate about making that visible.

I’m here to advocate for the entire early years sector, with a particular focus on raising the profile of childminders, who are so often overlooked.

I want to be a real, relatable voice for educators — offering encouragement, reflection, and practical inspiration. Whether through writing, speaking, or simply sharing everyday stories, my goal is to uplift and connect others doing this vital work.

My practice is grounded in child-led, emotionally attuned care, with a deep respect for nature, play, and the unique journey of every child. I draw from my lived experiences — as a mother and a professional — blending empathy with insight to bridge the gap between research and real-life practice.

I’m building a platform and community rooted in authenticity, warmth, and purpose — where we can celebrate the magic of early childhood, speak truthfully about its challenges, and champion the educators at its heart.
